Here is my version of your RPG. Same rules and everything, just be a different species, please. (Be a Choeroed, if you don't mind.)

Ok... You are sitting in a damp cloth seat in the back of a small Twassecc transport, hovering about 2000 feet above the oceans of Polon V. You are currently very near the center of the ocean and right over the volcanic region that starts the Tsunamis. You are accompanied by two other Choeroeds, who will be your surfing partners. You are about to enter the largest surfing race in the galaxy. The Twassecc manning the transport is just waiting for the big Tsunami to appear. One of about 1000 feet is scheduled within an erka from now. If your team wins this race, you shall be handsomely rewarded, but you are going against a tough competitor. The three on the enemy team are positioned in another transport less than a mile away.
You start with a small, waterproof survival bag. Inside the bag is some food, an emergency communicator, a map of your route, 400 pats, and a set of razor claws. Beside you you carry your lightweight surfboard. The sky darkens as the waves below swell. What do you do?

Because Razor claws don't take up handspace, I ready them for quick use. I prepare my surfboard. Everything else, I place in my pack. Ready to go!

Suddenly, the waves beneath start to increase in height. The transport pilot turns on his communicator, mumbles something into it, then turns to you.
"You guys ready?"
"Good." He says, without waiting for an answer. He pulls a lever and the bottom of the transport pulls from under you. You strap the board onto your feet as you plummet. You position yourself so you can see the Tsunami. It is incredible. All too soon, you splash onto the 1,200 foot wall of water. (BIg one, eh?) Righting yourself, you start surfing. The transport above follows you, so that you can be rescued if needed. However, if all three of you use this, you are disqualified. You surf on for a few hours. It is getting extremely dark, and storm clouds are forming on the horizon. The three of you are resting, the waves pushing you up and down. You know that surfing on is a fast way to get going, but you are extremely tired and don't really want to mess with the nighttime predators of the region.

I must NOT lose... I surf back up to the top of the wave, ignoring my aching body. Now at the top, I do a spectacular flipping dive from the crest, plummeting the full 1200 feet back into the water. I return to the top and just try to stay there.

(Hee...)
You being the leader of this team, the other two follow you reluctantly. However, the storm clouds are rapidly overtaking your group and rain starts to pour. Although it is only afternoon, it is as dark as twilight. You look up to the transport. It appears to be stalling slightly. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning flashes from the sky, striking a rear engine. A giant plume of smoke erupts from the craft as its propulsion cuts, sending it flying down. With a tremendous splash, it strikes the front of the wave and disappears into the water. You stop. One of your team members, who is really rather emotional, says to you "We have to save him!". He pulls off his pack and board and dives below the water. The other teammate, who you have just learned is named Yend, looks at you, wondering what to do.

(Do I receive bonus points for life-saving?)
Realizing that this was already a DQ race, on account of we lost part of our team, I decide to help the pilot. I dive into the water, holding my breath of course, and swim downward toward the sinking transport.

Your not DQ'd yet. Only if all three of you die or quit. Only one needs to get to the end. More points for more, however.
Underneath the water, you see the transport sinking. You don't know what the hell that other Choeroed was trying to accomplish, as the 100 ton transport is in a part of the ocean many miles deep. However, you soon see. The Choeroed is swimming towards you, pulling the much larger Twassecc. Obviously fatigued, he hands you the pilot.
(No extra points, but you benefit from it.)

I tie the Twassecc to my back with that other guy's belt. We resume surfing, though I am somewhat hindered.

When you resurface, your companion Yend is no where to be seen. Oro, the other Choeroed, is getting back on his surfboard, so tired he is coughing up blood. The Twassecc is unconsious, and very heavy. You have to rest, you can't possibly surf for much longer. Luckily, up ahead, you see a small island. The 1000 foot waves pick you up and hurl you towards it, so you could probably get there easily.

I swim to the island...

Because of the added bonus of the wave, you and Oro get there in less than an erka. You pull the Twassecc onto the beach and all of you rest under a giant plant. You still don't see Yend, but you also can't see the enemy transport. This suggests that they either are very far away, lost their transport, or their transport flew away. They can't be ahead, however. Can they? What do you do?

I try to revive the Twassecc and send Ort or whatever to see if he can see the enemy transport.

Oro runs the perimeter of the island, out of sight. You can't seem to revive the pilot, but maybe something in your pack can help.
(Hint: Your pack contains a little bit of food from each of the other allied races. One of these foods is not edible by most peoples' standards.)
