Geel and Oro (Let's call him Oro now that we've run out of snack foods.) jump in behind you. Geel, knowing a bit more about Twassecc vehicles than you, starts up the machine. As its engine starts, the noise is almost unbearable.
"I'm sending it to the last stop, as it has the most civilization." Geel shouts to you. Suddenly, the car rockets forward. At over 1000 miles per erker you are hurling down the non-existant track. Luckily, the engine noise quiets down.

Geel and Oro do the same. In an erker or so, the train came to a lurching halt. The three of you awaken and exit the vehicle. You are in the middle of a large base. Mostly Twassecc and Choeroed, you can see a barracks, troops quarters, and a tremendous shipyard up ahead. Behind you is the station, as well as a residential area. To your left you can see a marketplace, and to your right, endless ocean.

Needing money, I go to look for possible jobs.

(Hint: Although you left them for now, remember your friends.)
You find a giant screen with a list of jobs. There is little of interest there. However, you find a few candidates...
1. A nearby food merchant would buy the food you have and the food you stole from the enemy Choeroed. He would also pay some money for fish that you catch.
2. The nearby shipyard needs an avid pilot to test their new ship, the ORB. Some skill and danger is involved, but payment is high.
3. A nearby house is being robbed. The theif, a Twassecc, is running away with a bagful of possessions. He runs into an abandoned building.
A nearby Hurk sniffs the air. He seems disturbed. After an erk or so of sniffing, he heads for you. He is looking at your backpack...

Easy... I run from the Hurk, losing him easily. I then return to my friends and tell them I'm headed after a burglar.

The Hurk lets out a disappointed bellow as you speed away. Geel has already left. However, Oro tells you that he went to the market to see if he could buy some stuff. Oro himself is off to catch fish for the merchant. (Remember, you have 400 pats already)
You pass the Hurk as you walk to the abandoned building. The Hurk looks disappointed. The building's steel walls are covered in vines and probably are over 50 years old. Inside, you hear a slight conversation.

I sneak in to listen to the conversation...

You hear the following.
"Yeah, I got the stuff."
"What is it?"
"Hmm... About 2000 pats, some food, a few trinkety things, a nice gun, a communicator, and a console. I think the console's broken."
"Hmm... You didn't let anyone follow you, did you?"
"No. Don't think so. Even if I did, if they try to stop us, (Gun cocks), we'll blast him."

I return to that one Hurk and offer him my Hurk portion of food if he will help me kick those fools into the mud.

Ahh... Good plan. He agrees. After consuming the rancid animal whole, he asks you, in an almost illedgible voice,
"Where they?"
He then pulls out a Club Rifle and starts into the building. A scream rings out and several shots are fired. Better get in there.

You enter the musty building. Inside, you can see an obese Sigwar, laying bloody on the ground. He is still alive, but barely. Your Hurk friend is punching a thug into paste.
You HP: 15 Attack: 20-40
Hurk HP: 75 Attack: 50-100 (club rifle)
Theif HP: 50 Attack: 20-30 (ranged)
Obese Sigwar HP: 5 Attack: None
Thug: Twassecc HP: 50 Attack: 20-50
Thug: Hurk HP: 60 Attack: 25-50 (Melee)
____________________________________________________
You attack the theif you saw earlier! With a mighty slash, he is without one leg! He falls to the ground. The Hurk swings the club in a wide arc, killing the Twassecc thug and the theif.
____________________________________________________
The enemy Hurk punches your friend, for 40 damage! His punch also shatters the Hurk's rifle, reducing his attack.

The Obese Sigwar is neatly sliced, spilling fat all over the room. The Hurk enemy receives a blade through the chest, doing 40 damage! Your Hurk buddy finishes him off with a heavy punch.
Your Hurk friend looks at you happily, then picks up all of the carcasses and exits the building. He is another potential ally, in the future.
You look around the room. The bag of possessions is there, as well as several weapons and some other stolen goods.
You level up!
4 attribute points and 1 skillpoint.
