Just as your ship leaves the hangar, a tremendous mortar shell thumps against its roof, blasting a tremendous hole in it. Rubble falls down into the hole, clogging up the hangar. The hangar is temporarily inoperable! Luckily, no craft were inside. From your height you watch the boats wreak havoc upon the command center, hitting with low accuracy but high damage. The command center detonates with a firey boom. You attack the nearest dekapod, and hit it for maxiumum damage! YAY! It collapses in a dusty heap on the ground. The other dekapod is sick of your incessant raids, and fires upon you with ten shots!
1st- Miss! 2nd- Hits for 40 damage, -20, 20! 3rd- Hits for 31 damage, -20, 11! 4th- Hits for 35 damage, -20, 15! 5th- Miss 6th- Hits for 39 damage, -20, 19! 7th- Miss 8th- Hits for 35 damage, -20, 15! 9th- Hits for 40 damage, -20, 20! 10th- Hits for 40 damage, -20, 20!
-120!
Luckily, in its single-minded pursuit of you, it is suprised by a group of SPY-T3R Tanks, and put out of your misery.
Sickle HP: 180 Attack: 50-100 (lasers)
(Note: Repair pack heals 50 damage.) (Hint: You will be doing part of this battle on foot. You can be taken down the hard way, or the easy way. First, however, you may wish to land and get something from the guy who sold you the charges... But you didn't hear this from me...)
The transports are getting very near now!

Wonderful... I fly down and hide in an area of the town where my valuable toy won't die. I then run to the guy who sold me charges.
"I'm BACK!" I say. He cowers in fear as I threaten him with his life.
"Gimme something good for FREE now! Hey, you ripped me off! It's your fault!"
(Gun is held to his head...)

He, as you said, is cowering in fear. He looks at you.
"I...I didn't rip you off!" He shouts, sweat trickling down his forehead. "But, I'll give you something anyway."
He slowly crouches down behind the counter, keeping an eye on you and your gun. After a few moments, he pulls up a large projectile. You begin to salivate as he explains it to you.
"This... This is a K5 modified Sickle Bomb. We Twasseccs, of course, couldn't pass up the chance to screw with another race's traditional weaponry, which has worked flawlessly for thousands of generations."
He hands it to you. It is very heavy. He then retires into the storage room, happy to be away from your gun.

I load up the bomb and lift off again. I drop the bomb on the toughest remaining boat before swerving off and landing again.

The bomb detonates in a fiery display of green liquid. The boat you aimed for, as well as a nearby boat, are completely destroyed. Yay... The transports are nearly on the beach. You fear what may come ashore from them.
Here is an update on your condition...
Enemies: 3 Boats (There were originally 11) HP: 1 at 5,000, and 2 at 2,000 Attack: 1,000 (Mortar Shells) Attack: 500 (Guided SA missiles) Attack: 500 (Burst lasers) (Note: Most of their Mortar ammo has been depleted, and one of them has lost its AA system. The entire fleet is still bombarding shore buildings, as well as shooting your subs down.) ~50 Aircraft (Yes... 50 again!) You manage to take one down (I'll be nice). The heavy machine falls down into the water, shooting a spray of metal, blood, thelsic parts, and water up into the air. The other two transports land, however. The first unloads fifty more of those Thelsic creatures, which begin to march into the base. The second unloads what looks to be a quadrupedal machine of great size, far larget than any of the dekapods.
Quadruped HP: 5000 Armor: -100 Attack: 100-500 x 4 (Lasers)
Uh oh... Now let's think. Who can we get to stop this creature? Anyone we saw before, who can do some kick-anus damage? Oops, no time to think.
One of the boats is felled by the CD, leaving only two. One of these two is disabled, can only fire burst lasers, and is out by itself. The quadruped activates and starts to attack.

Allright then! Now you're catching on!
The mech trooper moves over to the Quadruped and "does battle" with it, as in tears it to shreds. Well, now that that's taken care of...
(Hint: Still another ally, an odd one, to the north, who can take out those boats for you, as the navy is now gone.)

I grab the Thelsic weapon and shoot the Thelsic in the face again, maybe this time it will kill.

I call the other Sickle and tell him to bomb some boats, as he isn't doing anything worth my time right now... I call the AR-8 launcher and tell it to go after the stupid little aircraft, as it can actually do some good damage on them.

Nixlow- Your bolt blasts out the creature's eye, making it scream in pain. It is dead. However, you can see more coming...
Thim- The sickle manages to hit out the last two of the artillery boats. The AR-8 launcher is a very capable AA craft, and within an erka has shot out all of the aircraft. However, you look to the horizon and see fifty more of the aircraft coming OUT of the sea. There must be some kind of mobile hangar there!

I fire what's left in the Thelsic weapon at the approaching Thelsic. I then pick up the Twassecc weapon and run.

I tell the Sickle to drop as many bombs as possible into the water where the craft are coming from. I assume the AR-8 launcher notes the incoming craft and is prepared to "deal with them". I swoop down and pick up the fleeing Nixlow in my Sickle and give him control of the twin tail guns, just in case... I then call the remaining ORB and tell him to investigate the underwater stuff.
