The Cheoroed martial arts masters do not get as good as they do without undergoing a vigourous training program. At approximately 2 twassecc years of age, the Cheoroeds are introduced to martial arts. Theirs is quite a lot different from the Dorschian version, however.
First, the whole discipline thing is way overrated on Dorsch. The Cheoroeds don't mind being undisciplined, until they are in the army itself. They also realize the importance of dodging blows. They do not recieve any training on how to block, because the Cheoroeds find it more efficient and easier on their bodies to focus on dodging.
For the first ten or fifteen years, the Cheoroeds learn to be fast. They hone thier already potent reflexes and learn to utilize melee weapons in combonation with guns. Most importantly, they learn to avoid incoming attacks. Posted on the wall of all of the Cheoroed martial arts training facilities is the following motto:
"You're hit, you're dead."
After that they focus on athletic 'tricks'. They have found that it intimidates and confuses enemies when an opponent pulls a stunt like a double backflip. Also, during this period of time, they practice jumping. A well-trained Cheoroed martial arts master can jump fifteen feet in the air from a heavy crouch. This period takes about three years.
Finally, they learn advanced moves, like the Matrix Kick outlined in the RPG. They learn to use their opponent's body as a resource in combat, utilizing their own power to help bring them down. (IE, forcing them to shoot their own stomach out)
This entire program takes anywhere from 20-30 years, depending on how gifted the Cheoroed in question is.
