Cheoroea is a water planet, and as such has few land animals. There are some, however, and these are more commonly seen than the aquatic ones.
Torsel- This tremendous beast is actually amphibious. It was imported from Polon V several hundred years ago, when an accidental radiation killed off too many predators. This creature behaves in a single way: Kill and eat. It is very stupid, but very deadly. It is around 40 feet long, and can run up onto a beach to kill bystanders. Its primary food source is large fish, though a Cheoroed will do in a pinch.
Spurter- These five foot long fish live in huge groups of thousands of individuals. They are planktivores, subsiding on small organisms in the water. They get their name from the way they behave around large ships. They will jump and fire a stream of water at any floating vessel. In small groups of 100-300 or so, this is not very dangerous. However, in their large groups, this can sink the ship if the captain is not careful. They have also been observed "Spurting" at very large planktivores who come to the surface to breathe.
Ocean Tlumm- This bird flaps constantly, flying over the water. It eats small fish and insects. There isn't much to say about it, really.
Lamphort- This giant cephalopod eats bottom dwelling organisms. It has thirty tentacles that extend in all directions from a center, spheroid body. They have become quite a nuicance to the Growth Bubble farmers.
Ptanoglaph- These small mammals live all over the surface of Cheoroea. They are quite small, at only a foot long. They eat plants and insects. They have batlike wings that they walk on when landborn. When they must, they fly with these wings. They cannot fly for long however, and Cheoroed children can capture them merely by following them until they land.
