"Oek" is Cheroean for "Sea Falcon". Only Norkids can figure out how they turned "Sea Falcon" into a three-letter word, but that's another topic.
The Oek is an animal that is commonly kept as a pet by Cheoroeds. It is actually a gilled bird that spends most of its time underwater. It has both lungs and gills so that it can easily change between air and water enviornments.
The Oek has a serpentine body with a large webbed tail on the end. It has ten shrimp-like legs, so it can walk on the bottom of the ocean or on land. It has two massive wings that fold into a hydrodynamic shape when underwater and unfold for quick flight capabilities in the air.
These are commonly seen on Cheroea, but nowhere else save zoos, because they really require the water to be happy although the Cheoroeds keep them as land pets. They range anywhere from three to eight feet long depending on the species.
