Hurks and Sigwar generally do not get along. They focus on completely different ways of life. The Hurks rely on their awesome physical power to live on their homeworld, while the Sigwar use their "gods". Ordinarily, this wouldn't make them dislike each other too much, but there is another factor. Originally, the Twasseccs asked of the Sigwar to demonstrate the power of their gods, by pitting a Sigwar trooper verses a Hurk in an unarmed battle. After a near dead Sigwar was sent back to Sig, Hurks and Sigwar have disliked each other heavily. This was escalated after a Sigwar priest set fire to a Hurk on UTD. However, both races realize that the Twasseccs will intervene if they get too unfriendly, and both need each other. The Hurks and Sigwar trade some. mostly with Hurks providing Wupa, and other foods, with Sigwar providing minerals.

I feel elaboration is required here. Hurks and Sigwar are VERY different. I did not give this credit enough. First, note, as I said, their differences in survival strategies. Hurk survival on their planet is usually a cake walk, focusing on the ability to overpower anything that attempts to eat you. However, Sigwar must scratch a living from rocks, requiring seemingly divine intervention to keep their species alive. Consider, also, their homeworlds. The Hurk moon, Hurk, is covered in food, water, and anything a species would need to survive. On the other hand, what do Sigwar have? Sand. Rock. Fire. Oh joy. Next, differences in attitudes about food. Hurks pick something off of whatever they see. Doesn't matter if it's edible, cooked, or even non-toxic. They just eat whatever they want, and fast. Sigwar, on the other hand, have very little to eat, and what they eat may be lethally poisonous. Also, their choices of food are not exactly... appetizing. They take huge amounts of time preparing small quantities of food, and dislike it a lot when hurks eat all of their work in a single bite. Next, attitude in life: Hurks live their entire lives without worrying much beyond who stole their woopa-fruit. They have fun, constantly. Sigwar, again, have to work to SURVIVE. They don't play much. Again, what do Hurks believe? Only that they are not the dominant creatures. They are inferior to many animals. Life is about fun, and not domination. Sigwar are supposedly "the divine species", chosen by the Gods to keep alive. Can you see the friction here? CAN YOU?
