The twasseccs, being the militaristic creatures they are, have a plethora of weaponry for their troops to make use of. One could get very confused attempting to keep track of the sheer variety of death-dealing devices were it not for the handy notation system they apply. That system is as follows:
Any twassecc weapon operated by foot soldiers can be written in the form ABC-##, where A denotes the shape of the weapon, B denotes the style of fire, C designates ammunition type, and the number identifies the weapon's power in relation to other weapons of the same type. The possibilities follow.
A
B
Note on shotguns: The C letter can be combined with other letters, if the weapon in question has properties of both. This is done with a '/' mark; for instance, an automatic shotgun would have 'C/R' as its second letter.
C
Examples:
GCS-9 = Standard slug shotgun.
GS-15 = Semi-automatic slug-firing rifle. Model 15 is also known as the 'negotiator'.
AL-1 = Weak, semi-automatic laser pistol. Model 1 is known as the 'SILP'.
ARS-12 = Slug-firing machine pistol.
PDJ-5 = Sniper rifle that fires toxic darts.
TRT-10 = Team weapon that fires explosives in a fully-automatic manner. Model 10 is known as the 'PLGML' (Prounounced Pull-Gimm-Ull).
GC/RS-13 = Fully automatic slug shotgun.
GRF-4 = Flamethrower.
etc.
Note: Knives and Grenades are special weapons, and are considered 'semi-automatic', hence have no second letter. Grenades have a third letter based on their type, and knives have a unique letter, K. Thus,
XT-12 = Grenade packed with high explosives.
XT/S-6 = Fragmentation grenade.
XK-15 = Weighted throwing knife.
XK/E-7 = Thrown knife with an electrically charged blade.

A
- A- Denotes handheld weapons, such as pistols.
- G- Indicates light weapons that require two hands, such as rifles or shotguns.
- P- Weapons with the 'P' tag are heavy one-man devices, such as long rifles or tripod mounted guns.
- T- Denotes shoulder mounted weapons such as rocket launchers or equipment that requires a team to use, such as a portable artillery battery.
- X- Denotes weapons that do not fit into other categories, such as knives and grenades.
B
- S- Indicates semi-automatic fire, wherein each activation of the firing mechanism causes the weapon to fire one shot. Most twassecc weapons fit into this category, and semiautomatic weapons may have the letter completely omitted.
- R- Weapons with their second letter as R are classified as 'repeaters', or weapons with fully-automatic fire. When the firing mechanism is activated, the weapon continues to fire at its maximum rate so long as there is ammunition.
- C- Indicates a shotgun-style firing mechanism, with a blast that spreads with increasing range.
- D-'D' weapons fire one shot and then must be reloaded. The most common use for this letter is with rocket launchers.
Note on shotguns: The C letter can be combined with other letters, if the weapon in question has properties of both. This is done with a '/' mark; for instance, an automatic shotgun would have 'C/R' as its second letter.
C
- S- Indicates 'slug' ammunition. From basic unshaped spheres of metal to highly crafted daxite bullets, slug ammunition is metal propelled from the weapon.
- L- Lasers have designation 'L'. Any weapon that produces a beam of focused light energy with intent to burn the target is a laser.
- F-Designates flame-based weapons.
- E- 'E' weapons are electrically based and fire a stream of electrons to destroy the target.
- T-Denotes explosives. Weapons that detonate violently are considered explosive. Can be combined, as with shotguns; 'T/F' indicates incendiary bombs.
- J- Indicates darts or other toxic weapons. Somewhat uncommon, but generally excellent short range stealth weapons.
- K- Knife. See below.
