In an army of a billion soldiers, it becomes necessary to create sub-factions in order to keep the war machine organized and flowing. The twasseccs organize their troops into one of four 'factions', which are described in detail below. These divisions help promote competition within the twassecc ranks, which helps keep soldiers occupied during downtime. In addition, these factions allow more specialized training for soldiers.
Twassecc faction names consist of a color (one of their preferred colors, in fact) and an animal.
Green Torsels
Like their namesake, the Green Torsels are dangerous in a variety of environments. Soldiers and operators of this faction are given extensive training in how to operate in unfavorable territory and weather. The Green Torsels are the only faction to regularly make alterations to the uniform depending on the combat situation; In a blizzard firefight, they would be equipped with white suits with enhanced internal temperature control.
Green Torsels make excellent scouts in all situations, and excel in hilly, mountainous, snowy, or swampy terrain. They tend to prefer vehicles that won't be incapable of traversing the terrain they operate in, of course, and make extensive use of the Spy-T3R tank, BCT, and occasionally the Roach and AED.
Blue Heletts
The "Blitzkrieg" is the true motto of the Blue Heletts. Soldiers are given specialized exercise regimens that focus less on building strength and more on speed and endurance. A Blue Helett can outrun many choeroeds, and have near the endurance. Of the four factions, the Blue Heletts are most likely to make use of retrochutes as a mobility enhancing device.
Because of their powerful, rapid attacks, Blue Heletts prefer vehicles that can match their speed and still deliver decent firepower. For that reason, they are extensive users of air strikes, MAUs, and combat scooters. Depending on the situation, they might also employ SPY-T3R tanks and AEDs.
Silver Swine
The Silver Swine (That's "Tuskine Swine", to you) are the most 'blunt' of twassecc forces. While a Blue Helett or a Green Torsel might attempt to avoid enemy fire until a good attack opportunity presents itself, a Silver Swine is more likely to rely on heavy armor to absorb any incoming fire until he can find and eliminate the source. For foot soldiers, they have extensive strength training, because their combat suits are much more armored than any other faction. "Subtlety" is not in a Silver Swine's vocabulary.
Not surprisingly, the Swine are the heaviest users of vehicles. If there is a BHAV on the battlefield, you can bet it is under the command of the Silver Swine. They also make heavy use of the AED, MAU, STAMP-181, and APT.
Black Klotekks
The last faction in the twassecc infantry consists of assassins and their assistance. Members of this faction have extensive training in explosives, communications, and stealth. A modified helmet contains a psychic dampener, which, when activated, dulls the senses but makes it much more difficult for a ure to detect the wearer.
As the "Covert Ops" faction, the Black Klotekks tend to make use of retrochutes for night drops, GSFs for insertion or extraction, and occasionally Roaches or STAMP-181s for diversions.
Obviously, none of the factions are 'limited' to the vehicles listed above. The ones listed are simply their most common choices on the battlefield.
