The very mention of the Twassecc Assassin is sure to raise an eyebrow or two. An infantry with an actual use in the twassecc army, the Assassin is the pinnacle of agility, intelligence, and training, and provides inspiration to the foot soldiers in the field of battle. An elite group of twasseccs singled out only after demonstrating that they have amazing reflexes, incredible intelligence, or an unusual level of inginuity, the Assassins strike fear into the hearts of their enemies.
Training: The course of training for an Assassin is rigorous, demanding, and extremely painful. First they learn to fight with objects. They are given a long stick much like a manaat staff without the manatt and trained to use both ends to combat multiple enemies very quickly. Once they master the basics, they must become excellent distance marksmen (Though not all twassecc Assassins are male) with basic rifles and pistols. They have to be able to fire fast and accurately, changing targets constantly, if they are to succeed. Then they learn sniping. Assassins typically prefer the P-15 and the blade as their main weapons, so learning to be fast snipers is crucial. Many assassins prefer to use their sniper rifles in melee combat, blasting through several enemies at once from short range. Then they are given a plastic blade to practice with. After they become reasonably profficient with all the weapons, they are put into a room filled with furniture to simulate a basic lounge. Fifteen greadeans are then let into the room. This test is repeated infinitely, until they are able to kill or incapacitate all of the greadeans in under five seconds. A demanding test, this teaches them how to use whatever is availible to them. After this test, Assassins are just as deadly weaponless as in full gear. Acrobatics lessons are taught throughout the session, as they are not only useful in combat, but intimidate most enemies.
Weapon: Assassins always have a blade on their right arm made of a daxite alloy. It can be retracted to facilitate use of the hand. Other than the blade, Assassins are allowed to choose their preferred weapon, and occasionally they will be given special weapons for specific missions. Miphon Vallani, for instance, has shoulder mounted PPD darts. With a flip of a switch in his right glove, a volley of six darts can be silently delivered without ever raising his arms. This just demonstrates the diversity of the Assassin's armament.
Uses: The Assassins are used for infiltration, special ops missions, and on the front lines. On the front lines they usually lead less experienced troops into battle, raising morale and directing them into advantagous positions. However, they have been known to creep up on HAT's and relieve the pilots of their duties. (Forever)
