While Hurks obviously have a less organized system of weapons than the Twasseccs, their multitudes of stone and wood weapons are surprisingly effective, many of them more so than more technological mechanisms. Hurks excell at the use of ranged and melee weapons, and even have their own explosives.
Throwing Weapons-
1. Manaat Throwing Stick- This 5 foot long stick is hurled by the hurk, moving through the air like a throwing blade. The contortion of the manaat allows it to move very quickly through the air. However, upon impact it snaps back to rigidness with such force it can shatter bones.
2. Heavy Manaat Throwing Stick- This stick is much like the other variety, yet is longer, thicker, less accurate, but more powerful.
3. Rocks- Ahh... Good ol' rocks. The bigger, the better. And Hurks can throw some pretty big rocks.
4. Explosive Rocks- Even better! You must be careful with these, as upon a hard impact, they combust in a huge fireball.
5. Heavy Javelin- This 18 foot long pole is tipped in a large chunk of explosive rock. They are hurled short distances and do massive damage.
6. Long Javelin- This 22 foot long pole does less damage, for it packs less explosive. However, it is far more accurate and has more range.
Ranged Weapons
1. Heavy Crossbow- This 7 foot long crossbow is used for firing normal arrows or explosive-tipped arrows. It can fire at a high rate of speed, and is light and easy to weild (For a hurk).
2. Ballista Crossbow- This bow is much heavier, and is around 9 feet long. It is used for firing much larger explosive projectiles, and cluster arrows. Also, the end of this bow is enforced with Dorosaur claws, and is very heavy. It can be weilded like a club.
3. Longbow- This bow is 16 feet tall, on average. While fairly inaccurate and weaker than many bows, it fires at huge ranges.
4. Heavy Longbow- This bow is shorter, heavier, and fires a more powerful shot less distance than its smaller cousin.
5. Bladed Bow- This is, all in all, an average bow. It fires three arrows at a time, one of which can be explosive. However, when arrows run out, it can be used as a tremendous melee weapon, swung in a wide arc.
Light Melee Weapons
1. Long Manaat Staff- This is an average weapon for hurks. It is 24 feet long and is weilded very fast and accurately. It bends while in mid flight, then stiffens quickly upon impact. Ow...
2. Heavy Manaat Staff- This shorter, thicker version of the staff is much heavier and harder to use. With a 20 foot length and a girth of several inches, it can be embedded with many stones and other small, sharp objects. Due to its thickness, it bends far less than other manaat weapons. (Note: This staff can have explosive rocks embedded into it, making for a nice early attack.)
3. Dorosaur Knuckles- These extremely dense chunks of claw are fitted onto a Hurk's hand, and vastly increase the damage it deals with every punch.
4. Explosive Staff- Kindof a cross between a ranged and a melee weapon, this long, rather weak staff is engineered to fire chunks of explosive rock upon twisting of the handle. It can be used to hit people in a pinch, but generally the foot-wide explosions it creates with every shot are preferred.
Heavy Melee Weapons
1. One Handed Mace- This 4 foot long mace is made out of Dorosaur claws. Very heavy, and with a fast attack speed, it is a powerful weapon.
2. Two handed Mace- This staff weighs around 900 pounds and is only 6 feet long. It is weilded quite slowly, but... ouch...
3. Heavy Two Handed Mace- Few hurks use these. They are so big it takes several seconds to strike something with one. However, even armor such as that carried by a BHAV cannot resist this weapon.
4. Dorosaur Gauntlets- These heavy claw gauntlets are adorned by the tips of Dorosaur claws. A one handed mace or similar weapon can be installed upon them, making a very powerful hand weapon.
