An outcast? Or invent my own family? Hmm, I'll have two grandmothers, two grandfathers, three aunts, four uncles, seven cousins, eight brothers and thirteen sisters. (Furdol's the youngest and Mom and Dad are away at work as usual) ^_^

You misunderstand, I think. Families are like... cities. They are HUGE and encompass hundreds of Snodeck, though they aren't nessecarily all related closely, nor by blood.
For instance, you could belong to the Xuo family (Last thing in your name) if you chose.

Think of them like dynasties. Blood-line related, extremely extended families.

Um... QUESTION!! Okay, sooo, the Tockneff are supposed to try and attract a Snodeck, cuz... like... I guess cuz the Snodeck are all rich'n'stuff and can help 'rebuild' the Tockneff planet from its state of disarray, right? But why just the Snodeck? Would the Tockneff work just as hard to attract anybody else that's wealthy and has lots of power, or do they ONLY go for the Snodeck? And if they do, why?
Okay, thx. ^_^ Hope I didn't sound too stupid. Lol.

Ok then. Here is an answer:
The Tockneff are kindof sentient (kindof as in they're generally pretty stupid), but very unorganized and violent. Through over-use of their resources and violence within their species, their planet has declined into a state of disarray. The planet is in a huge mess, and it's unlikely that it could ever be fully restored. The surviving Tockneff live in small groups in the ruined cities all over the planet. They fight amongst themselves constantly. However, the Snodeck, who have lived on a neighboring planet, soon discovered the tockneff. The tockneff may be fairly stupid, dirty, and unorganized, but they were violent, brave, and deadly. Absolutely perfect for a mafia. Snodeck now make trips to the Tockneff homeplanet occasionally to look for particularly dangerous Tockneff 'partners'. Their money, charisma, and false benevolence trick the tockneff every time. (That, and, that the tockneff rarely have enough food on their own) It is worthy of note that rarely do Tockneff realize that they are the slaves of this particular 'partnership', though the Snodeck may insist otherwise. As said before, Tockneff are dumb, Snodeck are smart. Propaganda!
So, to answer the next part: The Snodeck were the only race to ever harbor the Tockneff. This is mainly because the Nablas system has, until very recently, been unknown to all other races. Now, with the introduction of other creatures, a tockneff may, in theory, take a master who is not a Snodeck. It is important to note, though, that a tockneff with some intelligence in it would probably realize they don't need a master. It's just the stupid, starving masses that subject themselves to that sort of subserviance. One that develops a little free will would probably learn to get food and money for itself.
Just for a wee bit of clarification, most tockneff are rather stupid, starving, and unable to get space travel off of their planet alone. This is why their 'society' has become so dependent on the Snodeck. However, Tockneff can be very intelligent, indeed. These individuals probably do not subject themselves to being a Snodeck's minion and often manage to leave their planet and make a living in the galaxy on their own.

Sort of... if by 'team' you mean RabbitDawg is your thug who carries out your every command because you're too fat and lazy (not to mention incapable) of doing it yourself.

Hehe... Arreck hit it there... Heh... Really, I feel the major issue there is lazy. Snodeck are fairly fat in appearance, but not too fat to do most of what they need. They aren't fast or agile or strong, so generally fighting and such goes to their tockneff 'partners'.
I just don't want the Snodeck to be considered incapable of doing what they must do, merely that they feel they are above doing what they must do.

Thx for the info. ^_^
(Oh darn... if most of the tockneff are too stupid to get off the frickin' planet, then now I need another backstory idea to explain how I got to Flisp where it's starting.... um... darn.... unless I decide to be one of the smarter ones.... hmmm....) <-- And I just HAD to share these thought processes with you all so I can make sure I'm not going off course.
Oh and just for fun, since I picked a not-so-bright race, should I talk like: Me name ish "The something". I tockneff. You Jane.
I dunno. Sorry, I'm just bored.

No, RabbitDawg. They're not stupid like that. They're gullible and wasteful. They're as smart as a human, they just are too violent for their own good, and lack much foresight. I suggest you be one of the smarter ones, personally.

Fat and lazy..? LOL Oh, so Furdol is a no-good uptight demanding brat. But she's smart and conniving and sneaky and used to getting her own way, so there's some good in that.
Oh, I hope she doesn't have to be FAT, maybe a bit a round around the edges, I guess. ;D

Ooh. And this just occured to me: if RabbitDawg uses a smart tockneff, is it possible for Furdol to boss her, RabbitDawg's character, around every once in a while. And yeah, it'll be hard thinking of a reason of how a Snodeck got to Flisp.
Travel business and got lost or maybe travel business and someone kidnapped her but she managed to escape and somehow got lost.

Well, I would think the being-able-to-boss-my-character around is MY choice. But, most likely yeah. I'm not gonna try to go too off character in the beginning. It's like... a growth thing throughout the story. Like, so I'll start and let you boss me, but then.... as my character contemplates and travels with all the other independent inidividuals that show me 'companionship' (to some extent) then... you know... dramatic character growth. And I'll do my own stuff... Wheeeeee. (I'm such a fool for dramatic coming-of-age crap. Lol. sorry) And I'm still not sure if my character is male or female. I'll just be opposite of whatever Devvyn's character is, so that there's a balance.
